Staff at Archerdale Ltd, Manufacturers and distributors of fasteners tools and castings based in Bradford, recently supported Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, their chosen charity for 2014.
Archerdale have supported their staff raising money through various fundraising events throughout 2014 such as;
- Staff buying doughnuts from a well known supplier and re-selling them in the office.
- Having charity themed lunches (St Patrick’s day was Potatoes and Irish stew, made by a directors wife and sold in the office as a lunch to raise funds, while also gathering the whole workforce together at lunchtime).
- One staff member even shaved his head and raised £280.
Archerdale are proud that through their fundraising efforts to raised money, all to be contributed to the chosen charity, that in total they have managed to raise an impressive £2000+ this year and also had some fun along the way!
Fellow Bradford businessman Dave Belmont, Company Secretary at Acorn Stairlifts, also got involved in a fundraising challenge by taking part in the Keighley 10K. Dave commented after the event,
“Just thought I’d say well done for some of your guys taking part in the Keighley 10K on Sunday for Manorlands. It was a good fun morning – now that my limp is starting to subside.”
Archerdale will be taking part in many more challenges during the coming months to raise their total contribution to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice for 2014. For more information on the charity please visit – www.sueryder.org/in-your-area/Manorlands.
