Naylor Wintersgill Chartered Accountants based in Bradford city centre have raised over £6,000 in 2018 for Cancer Support Yorkshire.
In order to raise funds for the charity, Naylor Wintersgill fulfilled an action packed programme of events and activities, which included walking on fire, triathlons and their annual boardroom bake off.
Cancer Support Yorkshire, who were chosen by Naylor Wintersgill team members as their charity of the year, were also celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2018. The independent charity offers practical and emotional support to people affected by a cancer diagnosis from their support centres located in Bradford, Skipton and Wakefield. Linda Enderby, Community Engagement Officer for the charity said, “Words can’t express how grateful we are to the team for choosing to support us last year. Their fundraising activities have been so imaginative but we couldn’t imagine they would raise such a staggering amount of money. We help thousands of people every year and all services are free. However, this would not be possible without the kind donations we receive. Therefore the support from the team at Naylor Wintersgill is valued and appreciated by everyone at Cancer Support Yorkshire”.
Naylor Wintersgill managing director Victoria Wainwright also commented, “I’m so proud of the amount we’ve raised for a local charity close to the hearts of many of our team members and we’ve certainly had lots of laughs along the way. One of the highlights saw us organising a football fundraiser with a twist over the summer, donning padded suits to battle it out against opposition from the Bradford business community on a crazy inflatable football pitch at our offices – whoever said accountants were boring?! We’re now well underway with planning lots more exciting things for 2019.”
