Housebuilder and local school children flock together to support wildlife

Primary school children in York have been supporting the local environment by encouraging birds into their school gardens with the help of housebuilder, David Wilson Homes.

The Year 1 pupils of Stamford Bridge Infants School received a special activity pack from David Wilson Homes, containing all of the supplies needed for the children to make their own bird feeders

The pack also contained birdhouses for the school to install, along with RSPB information on how to spot the different species that may visit throughout the year, and how to look after them

The activity is inspired by the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch, which runs from the 27thto 29th January, and encourages both adults and children to help count local wildlife

Saxon Gate in Stamford Bridge is a sought-after development of three and four bedroom homes, ideally located less than 10 miles from York

Beautifully designed, the properties combine a quality build with a high specification interior and are available to purchase from £242,495
