Bradford Community Foundation (BDCF) is an award-winning charity that strengthens local communities, tackles disadvantage and transform people’s lives across Bradford. Since 2010 we have distributed over £1million in grants to over 200 local causes and built an endowment fund.
We have played an internationally significant roles as an exemplar of working with diverse community organisations and our work was showcased in an international diversity academic conference in Bradford.
Our work to engage businesses with charities is also recognised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) who held a special joint event with the Community Fund and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations and the Institute for Volunteering Research.
The Bradford Community Foundation is a registered charity. Our trustees are responsible for controlling its management and administration. However, the Fund is also a company limited by guarantee, meaning that the trustees also act as company directors, managing the affairs of the organisation in accordance with company law. Trustees will meet quarterly.
