Packetts staging 3rd annual ride over the weekend of May 12th and 13th 2018.

Following on from the success of previous rides, we’re pleased to confirm that we will be staging our 3rd annual ride over the weekend of May 12th and 13th 2018.

The event is a fully supported sportive (not a race) with riders of mixed ability, from beginner to obsessed! It starts on the Saturday morning leaving Packetts carpark in Saltaire, and riders have a choice of 2 routes to get to Theakston’s Brewery in Masham. The brewery turn their pub over to us for the Saturday evening and we arrange a hog-roast to help wash a few beers down after a day in the saddle. We then return to Baildon on Sunday, again in one of 2 groups, finishing at the Halfway House for a presentation ceremony.

As in previous years we are raising awareness and much needed funds for the fantastic One In A Million charity (OIAM) based in Bradford : http://oiam.org/

Packetts will cover all costs (other than your accommodation) so that all entry monies and any sponsorship can go directly to the OIAM coffers.

They have created the following link for Registration purposes, and we are now accepting entries on a first come first served basis :

The routes will be changed from those shown on the website – we’ll still go from Saltaire to Theakston’s in Masham, and return the following day, but our resident bike route specialist, John Dennis, has a few “surprises” up his sleeve that will add challenge for those who want it, and also vary the ride for those who’ve done the same routes the previous two years.

Further information on training rides and guides will follow to those who sign up, and we very much hope that you will join us for what I know will be a great event.
