Help give every child the chance to learn code Ref:1636

It is our core belief that every child should have the chance to learn to code no matter who they are or where they live.

As a not-for-profit, we rely on financial support from the public, businesses and grant funders to ensure that we can continue to provide and improve our curriculum, train and support Code Club’s volunteers and reach more children.

You can support Code Club in many ways:

Donations:

£25 – Could support one child for one term

£75 – Could support one child for one year

£500 – Could support one club for one term

Volunteer

Code Club leads a community of volunteers who share their passion for digital making with children and teachers across the UK. We create resources aimed at children aged 9 – 11 for volunteers to use in weekly Code Clubs in their local area. To volunteer at a Code Club you need to:

  • be available for one hour a week to help with a Code Club session in a local school, library or community venue
  • commit to volunteering for at least one school term (12 weeks)
  • have time to prepare for the Code Club session each week. This may include organising resources and completing the project you will be doing with the children in advance
  • organise a DBS check for yourself
  • be happy to collaborate with the club host at the venue to make the club run smoothly. The club host will accompany you in the sessions also
  • be confident with computers. You don’t have to be a coding genius, most clubs start with simple programs like Scratch, but you need to be willing to learn
  • be ready to communicate the joy of digital making to a group of around 10 – 15 children each week

Collaborate with us

At Code Club we are proud of the partnerships we have developed with a range of different organisations, from multinational technology companies to new regional start ups. Whilst no two of our partnerships are the same, every organisation we work with shares our passion for making coding accessible as well as being open to exploring creative ways of working together. Can your organisation help us reach more children and enable them to learn to code?
