We pledge to continue to compact paper waste & have waste plastic collected, along with offering paper from the Carbon Capture Scheme and offering bio degradable Cellophane Bags. We also pledge to continue supporting local schemes like the One in a Million Free School Community Schemes.

At the moment we have all our paper waste and plastic waste collected to be recycled. We have on site paper compactors and we have the crates of plastic collected too. We have joined the Carbon Capture Woodland Scheme. Did you know woodland is the second largest sink of CO2 after the oceans? The UK has just 13% woodland cover compared to the European average of 37%. The Carbon Capture programme mitigates the CO2 emissions from the production and distribution of paper and materials and gives customers and their clients the opportunity to join with many major brands and fully engage with, and directly support the work of the Woodland Trust – 100% of the money raised through Carbon Capture goes directly to the Woodland Trust to plant native woodland in the UK.The average amount of CO2 emitted from the manufacture and distribution of a tonne of paper has been calculated, this calculation is verified by the Woodland Trust using Carbon Trust and DEFRA figures. We now offer bio-degradable food grade Cellophane Bags, perfect for the Greeting Card Industry, Confectionery, Cosmetic, Gift and Garment Industry to name a few. We pledge to support local schemes that benefit the local community and young people. One In A Million is a Bradford based charity that engages predominantly with disadvantaged children and young people, through Sports, the Arts and Enterprise. ‘The Hub and Spoke’ model enables us to use formal and informal education as a delivery mechanism to break the cycles of deprivation over their young lives, valuing and celebrating their uniqueness, and letting them know they are ‘one in a million’.
