Naylor Wintersgill host open evening as apprenticeship programme opens for applications

Naylor Wintersgill chartered accountants and tax advisors based in Bradford city centre are hosting an online apprenticeship open evening on Tuesday 26th April for prospective school leavers interested in finding out more about a career in accountancy or tax.

The firm has maintained an apprenticeship programme for over twenty five years in Bradford to grow and develop their work force of the future and currently has three vacancies for apprentices starting in September this year. Head of HR and consultant Claire Featherstone comments: “As an officially appointing training firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, we know how important it is to develop, educate and train young people in the best possible way. Wherever we can we want to support, inform and guide students into the right careers for them and so through this event we can give them the opportunity to explore apprenticeships and inspire the next generation of accountants here in Bradford.”

During the session students will be able to meet and put their questions to current Naylor Wintersgill apprentices, the firm’s training partner First Intuition as well as those leading the team who nurture apprentices within the business. There will also be an opportunity to learn some CV tips and tricks to help them make a great first impression.

Managing director and current Bradford Chamber President Victoria Wainwright added, “I joined Naylor Wintersgill as the firm’s very first apprentice. Now as managing director and having had this opportunity to work, learn and develop through practical real-life experiences myself, I am passionate about championing apprenticeships as a progressive career opportunity and investing in new talent for the future growth of Naylor Wintersgill”

Local teachers who would like to know more about apprenticeships, the firm’s apprenticeship programme and the various routes to becoming an accountant are also welcome to join the event.

Students, guardians and teachers wishing to attend the online open evening should register their interest by contacting recruitment@naylorwintersgill.co.uk or sign up online here.
