Over £50,000 injected into good causes by chemical company

Dozens of charities and community groups have benefitted from donations throughout 2023 from a North Yorkshire chemical company.

Airedale Group, chemical specialists based in Cross Hills, has given contributions totalling more than £50,000 to local organisations as part of its ongoing commitment to its communities and the environment.

Beneficiaries have included Manorlands hospice, Sutton-in-Craven Community Primary School, Glusburn Park and Glusburn Institute, children’s charity One In A Million as well as numerous sports clubs and support for individual charities nominated by members of staff.

Chris Chadwick, executive chairman of Airedale Group who has co-ordinated the company’s contributions, says: “It is so important to us to be able to help our neighbours and communities as much as we can and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to support so many worthwhile causes this year.

“From defibrillators and wildflower areas to reading books and sports equipment, we try to find ways to help benefit our communities, young people and the environment.”

Airedale Group has been based in Cross Hills for over 25 years and employs more than 120 people, providing chemicals and related services to the UK and Europe.
